“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity.”
- John Muir, Our National Parks, 1901

Our Story

We believe a connection to the outdoors is fundamental. It’s rooted within each of us.

Like many of you, we live life in a busy place. Founded in Denver, Colorado, we tend to skip town on the weekends and run for the hills. From the hysterical ski trips with friends to the solo evening hikes, we live for the escape.

Our mission is to create a reminder of this connection to nature. A connection that can be held, felt and shared.

Each design we carry captures a moment in time, a moment that can stir the present and ignite the adventures of tomorrow.

Our collection is fueled by a small group of independent creators. Whether painted, designed or photographed, their work unifies a common theme: a celebration of the uncivilized.

Brian

Co-Founder

An analytics wiz, Brian runs a tight ship. His live dashboards allow our artists to use sales as a guide for creative decision-making. Outside the office, Brian's an absolute weapon of a chef. Saucy.

Thomas Art Bloom

Thomas

Director, Finance

Found grazing off a trail in Peru, Thomas is a quick wit with a brassy spirit. By the end of our hike Thomas had successfully negotiated a remote position with full benefits. His grip on finance is loose at best, but he’s provocative and gets the team going.

Acknowledgements

One of our favorite aspects of running this business has been discovering the many talents of friends & family as they've pitched in along the way. We encourage you to look for the skills in those around you.. sometimes all you have to do is ask.

We owe big thank you to these beautiful people:

Cassie
For your work with all things brand strategy. You have created cohesion from chaos.

Kelly
For helping us find our voice and understand the artist's. Kelly's creation, Messy Ever After, serves as a community for artists to learn and share together.

Pat
With your legal expertise, you helped us create simple and fair licensing agreements to protect both our artists and us.

Colin
With your legal expertise, you continually prevent Nick from wandering into horrific business deals.

Heather
For your time and patience in helping us to decipher Colorado's insane tax rules.

Meg & Liz
For being constant sources of feedback.

And last but not least, our families, for their advice and genuine support. We (literally) wouldn't be here without you.
